After winning the International Design Award (IDA for short) in silver, the Dr. Schneider Unternehmensgruppe can once again look forward to an award for its "textile lightweight console". The exhibit has now won the European Product Design Award (ePDA for short) in the "Transport" category.
In the "Transport" category, the ePDA only had a total of five "Honorable Mentions" worldwide. Three of these honorable mentions went to Europe. In addition to Spain and Italy, one product received an award in Germany - the "Textile Lightweight Console" from the Dr. Schneider Unternehmensgruppe.
The ePDA honours the efforts of talented international product and industrial designers who aim to improve everyday social life with their practical, well thought-out innovations. The award cooperates with the European Parliament and thus offers participants a global stage to make their innovations known worldwide.
The European Product Design Award annually honours designers and products from all over the world in various disciplines and categories. It has thus become a globally recognised symbol of excellence and innovation. The "Textile Lightweight Console" from the Dr. Schneider Unternehmensgruppe is truly an innovation. It is a removable and multi-functional centre console whose design and technology approach takes into account the requirements of the automotive interior of the future.
The exhibit was developed and designed by the Dr. Schneider Unternehmensgruppe advanced development team in close cooperation with Karl-Ludwig Holl and Jörg Meister from "dekonform", Büro für Gestaltung. Those responsible are very pleased about the second design prize in a row and the recognition of their work.
